ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN YOUTH MOVEMENT (OCYM)

The Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM), the youth wing of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, has been at the forefront of promoting Christian values and principles both within the Church and the wider community for over 65 years. Centred on the pillars of Worship, Study, and Service, OCYM plays a vital role in the growth and well-being of the Church and society.

Since its establishment, the OCYM unit at St. Thomas IOC Liverpool has been actively involved in a range of parish activities, including Harvest Festival, Parish Day and assisting in major Church events like Christmas celebrations. The Liverpool chapter has also made significant contributions by participating in various conferences  within the Oriental Orthodox community.

The Vicar of the parish serves as the President of the unit, overseeing the annually elected committee, with the Secretary managing the unit’s day-to-day operations.
